BS: Happy Birthday, Dylan Thomas

On this day in 1914, one of the greatest word-saints of time, Dylan Thomas, was born into the world at Swansea.

{18 years later, on OCtober 27 1932, Sylvia Plath, the American poet known for an intense, confessional quality of writing, was born.}

Both had torrid affairs with death, whether slow or fast.

But of all the voices of our time, Dylan Thomas (after whom Bob Dylan was NOT named) deserves a toast today.

I would have thought that, since he died of alcoholism, a toast is the last thing he needs! :)

Being that he is dead, I wasn't expecting him to participate.

If i had a kid, which i won't, i'd call it Dylan. And nobody would know who it was named after, because i wouldn't tell them...

But it would most likely have a lot to do with The Magic Roundabout.
