Hi everybody - Mr John Breeze is kindly allowing me to play a gig at the Spotlight club at the British Legion Club, in Verulam Road, St Albans; on Sunday, the 7th November

So; if you like, or have heard my songs - here's an opportunity

Music starts at 7.45pm with lots of other turns appearing

Hope to see you there

Thanks for the support everyone - I'll try my best to fit in requests

Have written out a song list which includes Molly Malone, Strawmen & Platters, Silver Cup, Council House Kid, Steal away, Run to the Sea, Far away, Tuba cat, Buck White and British Legionaires

Hopefully; that should fill up the time - if not; John Bull

I can sing "Run to the Sea" as a floorspot that way we can hear it and have more time for other songs and I can get my first credit this season.

No problems with my list John - I'm easy on time - I've just tried to prepare more than I need rather than less

I saw Guru run dry on her first floorspot

It's amazing how a song can vary in length depending on the circumstances

Martin plays a nice drop D on 'run to the sea'

Does it now start at 7.30pm - seems to get earlier by the week?

Run dry Ross? Am mortified!!! My 30 minutes started 10 minutes early without my realising it so I had an extra 10 minutes to fill after my set. Sang a few more songs which finished it off nicely, but I could have sung on for at least another hour without props or repetition!!! You have to watch that Breezy, you're right to go armed with more than less.....

Ross was an inspiration tonight at Letchworth. Watch out St Albans.

We had a girl with red hair and a captivating smile, who moved sensually and sang beautifully with virtuso guitarist accompaniment

We also had Roberts and Lakeman

and sold more seats for Robb Johnson 12th Nov

Sorry Guru - no slight intended - I never knew your timings had been messed up - I was surprised you forgot the words to Jenifer's rabbit though - I knew you're song list is endless and other forces were at work

I had a run through last night at Letchworth - it's nice of Martin to say nice things - but I made a lot of basic mistakes like fogetting to breath (altogether {turning blue}) and thinking to hard on the words

Still - it can only get better? - all I need is red hair, a dress and someone to play guitar for me

The Acoustic Dudes - a band ripped apart by internal squabbles and the love of cheese and onion crisps

Thanks again for all the support - If Bert attends I might even peform one song standing up

Must go as I've stopped breathing - clear (zap)

Just got back from the above. What a night. The club is supposed to end at 10.30pm, but Ross just kept on ROCKING until nearly five to eleven, we could not get him off. And he will be mingling tomorrow night at The Bull in Barton le clay Beds, with Bram Taylor, fireworks and baked potatoes.

Cheers everyone - many thanks for all the support - and thanks JB for the opportunity - I did enjoy it amongst friends

If the offers still open for Friday (to do a spot) - I wouldn't mind doing a couple of songs with Martin - 'Run to the Sea' and Martin's 'Ring a ring 'o' Roses' - & I like Robb Johnson

Many thanks to George for coming along - I appreciated that a lot - I forgot to ask you if I could buy the latest CD from you - hopefully I'll see you soon - look after yourself

Great idea Ross. What does the hairy one think. I might be out of my depth playing with such Folk Gods.
