05 Nov 04 - 03:49 PM (#1318146) Subject: great concert - Kansas City - tomorrow From: GUEST,leeneia Tomorrow, Saturday, Nov 6th, there will be a great Celtic concert in Kansas City, featuring Kevin Burke (fiddle) Ged Foley (vocals and instruments) and Johnny Connally (button accordion.) These are world-class musicians from Scotland and Ireland. Place: Community Christian Church, 4601 Main, KCMO, on the north east corner of the Plaza. There is free parking; go into the first driveway south of the church on Main Street. Time: 8 pm. Gen adm is $20. The Community Christian Church is a theatre-style setting. This is not a religious concert, we just rent the building. As is so often the case, the Kansas City Star did not see fit to list this concert in this weekend's events. Come for great music and to support the underdogs i.e., the Missouri Valley Folklife Society, a not-for-profit organization. |
