I heard it at a festival five years ago and have had the begining of it stuck in my head every since. I'd love to find the song or the words, but I don't know anything about it. I know that the chorus goes something like this: O'Callahan, O'Callahan The Gallows hangman cries for taking the life of a bonny sweet child on the morrow you shall die.... on the morrow you shall die... it was a chill autum's morn, the sound of fox, hound, and horn brass buttons flashed in the sun. and bringing up the pack with his fiddle strung round his back young Callahan the witch's son... ok... that's all I can remember. I'm so sorry I can't tell you more. Infact I know so little I can't even do proper search for it. If any one has a clue and wouldn't mind ending my suffering please email me at loreliloalyn@earthlink.net |
