13 Nov 04 - 10:50 AM (#1325633) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: Rasener And you may experience the wonders of seing lots of wildlife, because of the lovely rural environment that we cherish up here. Bring your "who is who book of animals" George. It may be a revelation for you seeing such wonderful creatures. :-) However, watch out for the giant whelks that may have escaped from the Humber. Nasty little creatures them. I have it on good authoity that Karen Thompson is the Whelk Midwife as well as the Baby Midwife for Barrow on Humber, which is why she is always working. |
13 Nov 04 - 01:43 PM (#1325764) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: Georgiansilver You'll get a good whelkome anyway. Best wishes. |

13 Nov 04 - 03:28 PM (#1325883) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: Rasener Do you mean like get your trousers off George |
13 Nov 04 - 05:08 PM (#1325953) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: George Papavgeris No, Breezy's got to run the cloob with QuickSilver as the guests. Les, believe me, trousers-off is not an option. Not a pleasant one, anyways... Now, if I come in ethnic Greek costume, with bobble-shoes, ornate vest and snow white shirt and pleated skirt....But then again, I don't want to be taking the curtains down off the window. |
13 Nov 04 - 07:04 PM (#1326057) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: Linda Kelly err.... you couldn't tell us where Walesby is Les or we might be conspicous by our absence... |

14 Nov 04 - 12:05 PM (#1326457) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: Rasener Unfortunately George doesn't have 2 X 1 hour slots, so I hope he is going to work hard on the timings :-) George Did you send Tom Lane at Radio Lincolnshire a copy of your new CD? I was hoping that you had, so that they can plug you on Wednesday. |
14 Nov 04 - 12:12 PM (#1326466) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: George Papavgeris It's 2x45, Breezy, the sets are well timed and practiced; 6 is too stingy anyway, 7-8 is OK, and I take longer for the song than for the intro. (ooh, catty! scratchyereyesout) Bogeyman depends on the audience, I found. Stilts without Breezy is Stilton without the blue bits. By & By competes with Valentine, don't want Vanessa to get above her station. Sound Da Horn is in the "back pocket". See ya 2nite taff. Shall I bring the bass for some faffing? "Spyros" |
15 Nov 04 - 01:24 PM (#1327503) Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th From: Rasener George where is that CD for Tom Lane then? |

Each time I think, blimey how do you top that one, and the next one and the next one. Long may it reign. :-) Linda and Hazel Many thanks for singing - it was excellent. So glad you made it through the night and got home safely. Was it spooky last night or did you just Zonk out? Overall, I think it was a resounding success on Friday night. |
