I hope this isn't thread-drift but I was pondering upon the fact that you never see Simon Bates and the Villan in the same room together.

And you may experience the wonders of seing lots of wildlife, because of the lovely rural environment that we cherish up here.
Bring your "who is who book of animals" George. It may be a revelation for you seeing such wonderful creatures. :-)

However, watch out for the giant whelks that may have escaped from the Humber. Nasty little creatures them. I have it on good authoity that Karen Thompson is the Whelk Midwife as well as the Baby Midwife for Barrow on Humber, which is why she is always working.

No, Breezy's got to run the cloob with QuickSilver as the guests.
Les, believe me, trousers-off is not an option.
Not a pleasant one, anyways...
Now, if I come in ethnic Greek costume, with bobble-shoes, ornate vest and snow white shirt and pleated skirt....But then again, I don't want to be taking the curtains down off the window.

Have a look at them, and if you need further info I will make sure you get it.

Unfortunately George doesn't have 2 X 1 hour slots, so I hope he is going to work hard on the timings :-)

George
Did you send Tom Lane at Radio Lincolnshire a copy of your new CD?
I was hoping that you had, so that they can plug you on Wednesday.

14 Nov 04 - 12:12 PM (#1326466)
Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday Nov 19th
From: George Papavgeris

It's 2x45, Breezy, the sets are well timed and practiced; 6 is too stingy anyway, 7-8 is OK, and I take longer for the song than for the intro.
(ooh, catty! scratchyereyesout)

Bogeyman depends on the audience, I found. Stilts without Breezy is Stilton without the blue bits. By & By competes with Valentine, don't want Vanessa to get above her station. Sound Da Horn is in the "back pocket".

See ya 2nite taff. Shall I bring the bass for some faffing?

"Spyros"

Unless advised differently, I plan to go M1 (J21A), then A46 around Leicester, past Lincoln to Market Rasen/Walesby. Seems straight forward, only 165 miles or so. Leave at noon, should be there around 4pm with stops and starts. Straight to the B&B and a jacuzzi before a massage and pedicure. At the hall 7:13.

Safely ensconced at Mick & Zany Mouse's in Rhodesia, into my 3rd red wine, waiting for dinner...

I loved last night. Thanks to all who came - I believe we counted 13 mudcatters? And people joined in, and they bought CDs, and the bought me drinks, can't complain. Better than that, I loved all the floorspots. Some I knew from before (Paul & Lucy, Linda & Hazel, and of course Mick); and some I heard for the first time (Steve Newton & Stitherum). But they were all great.

Lovely B&B too. And on arrival, Les arranged a special display by the Red Arrows for us!

Thanks, Lincs! Be back soon!

And good to meet Linda and Pistacchio also. Seriously good stuff girls, great songs and fine performance.

Lucy and Paul - what can I say, they just get better.

Stitherum - polished performance, good to hear the new songs Sooz & Mr. Sooz.

Mick Pearce - stunning.

It gets better and better Les - we've got a lot to live up to on 3/11!

I am getting worried John, you appear to be going backwards :-) 3/11 when I am sure you mean 3/12 when John Conolly is on.
Each time I think, blimey how do you top that one, and the next one and the next one. Long may it reign. :-)

Linda and Hazel
Many thanks for singing - it was excellent. So glad you made it through the night and got home safely. Was it spooky last night or did you just Zonk out?

Overall, I think it was a resounding success on Friday night.
