I cannot seem to find sheet music or ABC's for Wildwood Flower. (I will Twine with her tresses etc.) Have searched internet quite thoroughly with out luck. Perhaps someone can offer a site or send me a copy if someone has this available. Thanks.

The Bluegrass Guitar site features Wildwood Flower: http://www.bluegrassguitar.com/studytune.html

They start with the basic melody, progress through Carter-style like Maybelle played it, then venture off into a cross-picking version Clarence White did.

You'll have to download the Scorch application (free and handy) but you'll have the sheet music (not tab) for the way the tune is arranged on the site.

I learned this on the mandolin (I only play in the bath, sort of thing). Anyway, When I learned the tune, from a book, I'd never heard it before but it seemed to me that such a pretty tune should be played fairly slow, but whenever I've heard it since, it's been played fairly fast, rather like a quick-march. Why? is it a dance tune? Flower-twining isn't something that should be rushed, I feel.
