Hi Steve - there are generally a couple of threads going where local sessions are being talked about - and it tends to be everyday

Might see you tonight

The singarounds will still be happening at the Bull every other Monday; as long as demand demands

How can I forget Hilary - I have a lot of happy thoughts about past gigs and Saturday morning workshops at the Luton University

I remember playing a gig at the Henlow show with the fretless & fancy free workshop - two fiddles, clarinet, pipes, melodeon, two guitars, mandolin, bodhrans and everyone singing

It was a brilliant experience - I look forward to hearing her sing again soon

Hello Ross. Thanks for coing last night. Is the club going to be back in the bar from now on?

From: Ross

Hi Martin - thanks for a great gig - the four of you sounded very good - nice harmonies and a nice range of songs - I think it's a winning combination and I'd pay to see you again

I Spoke to Rachel and we agreed that we'd keep the session in the middle bar for the immediate future - she is keen to let us have the back room if numbers explode - I can't really see it though

I know the back room is expensive to heat and light; and not worth it for Rachel if there is very little return

Will try and keep it as non smoking as possible and I am negotiating another switch to turn off another speaker in the front bar - the tables have all been changed around though; so it should be interesting

I suspect the sessions will be fairly low key for a few months

I think John has given up on his Wednesday sessions - have you seen him at work?

UMMMM tables turned around. I can't wait. I have seen John and he seems to think everything is going well, but he could not make last week. He said he was going to ring you about helping last week but did not. See you at Breezys on Sunday? And thanks for your kind words. I have had a word with everyone and we all seem happy with Friday and want to carry it on. See you soon.

Hi Martin - that's interesting - we haven't seen John on a Wednesday for over eight weeks - since the beginning of October

Hope to see you again soon - sorry I couldn't get to the spotlight tonight - hope you had a good un

It's good to hear the Folkaholics are continuing - rock on

Am looking forward to see & hear you all again on Saturday at the Barton Day of Song. Will only be able to stay for the afternoon though, going to see Sid Kipper in the evening *smile*

Will also be at the session for jacquic & kendall at the Black Lion in Plaistow on the Sunday, not for long though as I'll be whizzing up to St Albans for my spotlight gig in the evening!

What a hectic weekend it'll be, wish I could get along to Ashwell too, there's so much going on!

I'm hoping to go along and see Guru next week - will there be a thread for Saturday?

Are we seeing the demise of Barton as a singaround? its not good to have Rachel grumbling, by my reconing we are the only people in the pub anyway.

How true Bertie, but it was not Rachel really. Ross and I saw the club going in two diffrent directions. But the Singaround carrys on as normal, I will be taking a back seat, that's all. See you soon, on the Saturday 4th Dec 12 hour Singaround Bull/Barton/Beds thread. And there was a few people there not as many as I would have liked for such a great performer. How about doing our "Run To The Sea" and "Ring of Roses" floorspot on Sunday Ross. Answer on other thread.

Hi Bertie/Martin - don't really know what to say - there's been a lot of crosswires and presumptions made - I hope the singaround will survive - I've always thought it was a good stepping stone for people to perform; in public to a friendly audience

I've never had a golden dream for the session; except to see people enjoy themselves

I suppose one of the basic problems of the Bull; is that it doesn't share or understand folk music - it's hard to be commercially successful without that support

Monday was very low key with only seven people - many thanks to Bert, Pat, Bill, John P, Trevor and Philip on harmonica; and me

Martin 'Run to' and 'ring of Roses' sounds great

Also the White Hart is looking for ideas for music nights in Campton (near Shefford) - the landlord there is very supportive of folk music
