03 Dec 04 - 03:36 AM (#1346065) Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Paco Rabanne That was the best laugh I have had for years!! We must get him back and pay him properly next time. His 'rap' version of Ilkley Moor was priceless. The poems took you away to somewhere long gone too,the long sad poignant one about the first signs of winter had me transfixed, only for muppet to reveal that the poem was about a fucking road gritter!! |

03 Dec 04 - 10:15 AM (#1346347) Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Peharps this is one for the "Bad Advertising" thread, but as I said to Hand Pulled Boy last night, I would not reccomend the burgers from the curry ship, they fry them in a frying pan! Currys are good though, [Voted best currys in Hull, By Hull Daily Mail last year]. Though he won the meat voucher, so maybe he'll be making his own burgers? |

03 Dec 04 - 11:13 AM (#1346408) Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Hand-Pulled Boy You should have used a Brownie 127 like I had when I was a lad. The sepia coloured pictures would truly reflect the atmosphere of the club. It was a real pleasure to play in front of sparkly curtains again. It took me back a few years. |
