From: InOBU The latest incarnation of the band Sorcha Dorcha happens to be all Quaker, two of us Amanda and I are plain, and the third happens to be named Scott Channey... whose orgional name is Richard... so ... look forward this January to the first gig of Sorcha Dorcha featuring Dick Channey and the Quakers!!!! Wrote a new song in Gaelic and English about the loss of a trawler... verses that have been floating around my head since the seventies... Well there you are, CDs to follow soon. Not what is was, the right hand lags abit behind the left one while playing the pipes... but I have hope for it yet. It has done WONDERS for my guitar playing though, as I rely on the guitar more, and had some real break throughs while not being able to play the pipes, had to do some gigs just playing the guitar. But, I have not given up on geting the pipes up to speed again. Cheers Larry |
