BS: Bah Humbug

Its time for our annual !Bah Humbug" appeal in my school. For years now, we've made a charity collection instead of sending each other Christmas cards and we've supported all manner of charities. This year, for the first time, each pound donated gets a raffle ticket and the prize for the raffle drawn at the end of term is a "Day off work" (approved by the head teacher). This added bonus is the brainchild of a charity called CLIC who work with the families of children with cancer and leukamia. It isn't too late to do this in your work place look here for details.

If your Head Teacher can persuade my boss to give me a day off work, I'll buy a tenner's worth of tickets tonight Sooz. My money's safe - she doesn't even like me having the evenings and weekends off!

I've sold half a book of raffle tickets today already!

So no-one else has any good ideas for using Xmas as a means of easing the burden of those in need?

You should have included one, or a combination of, the words 'Bush', 'Blair', 'Kerry', 'Election', 'Iraq', 'Asshole' (or, as it is correctly spelt, 'Arsehole'), or 'Shatner' in the title Sooz - there'd have been a million responses by now. LOL!

Sorry, forgot 'Conspiracy' and 'Muslim Terrorists'.

We raised £160 for CLIC - the only downside was that a rather unpopular colleague won the "day off".

Well Sooz, if the colleague is really unpopular, it should be like a holiday with him/her gone(?)
