Jed Foley used to sing it a lot with the House Band and they toured the States often enough. As stated in the previous thread Alex Glasgow wrote it as part of a much larger piece called "The Tyne Slides By" and it was featured on BBC TV's "Camera and the Song" series back in the 1970's. The whole piece is featured, along with "Close The Coalhouse Door" on the CD "Songs of Alex Glasgow" (Mawson and Swan) |
