21 Dec 04 - 11:07 PM (#1362742) Subject: Tech: How to turn off AOL From: Jeep man My computer uses my phone line to connect to AOL. Occasionally I forget to turn it off after being online. This interrupts my phone until I remember and turn it off. Question, Can I set up AOL to turn off automatically after say 20 minutes with no activity? Jim |

You'd be better off, for these purposes, with an always-on DSL or cable-modem service. Faster throughput to, if you can get it where you are. A |

Log out when you're done online, and turn your computer off. Get CallWave Internet Answering Machine so you don't miss calls while online. Cheers, Michael |

I had to go all over town to find a lead long enough (Comet had one in the end!) Off to bed, disconnecting very soon! TB |
