I hope it doesn't too. I would guess that Nellies is perhaps the strongest Sam Smiths music pub in the area. Is there a way we/they can help together?

Nellies - without singing!

The drinking and musical activities complement each other - and as Mick McGarry said (on the other thread) some of the punters even enjoy the entertainment at the open singarounds.

Don't forget The White Horse Folk Club has been resident for 'ever' upstairs and Nellies is renowned world wide for its 'folk'.

On a pragmatic note.

If the worst does happen and the Sunday sessions at Nellies are no more, we already have one offer from Oddfellows (although it is a bit small for a large session) and Shaun at the Sun would be more than happy to have the other Sundays there in addition to the one he already has - he told me so last night. There is one man who recognises what value live music brings into the pub.

This all sounds a bit grim! Has anybody spoken to the landlady at nellies to ascertain what the brewery have told her?

You could all throw your instruments on the coal fire at Nellies as a form of protest.

Any more reaction at Nellie's? Or should I ask when I am there tonight to see Grace Notes?
