CMT has an 8 part series, which started this past Tuesday.

FOUR STRONG WINDS
Four Strong Winds is an eight-part documentary series celebrating Canada's singer/songwriters and the impact they have had on the world of popular music. Shot on various locations such as pubs and record stores, the series covers Canada's wide range of musical genres, from Celtic, Rock, and Country to traditional French. The series features legends such as Hank Snow, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Gordon Lightfoot, and homegrown heroes Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Jann Arden, Avril Lavigne and Hawksley Workman.

Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT 10PM Atlantic, with repeats at 1AM and 4AM

Episode 1 - In the Blood
Tuesday January 4th at 9 PM ET/PT
The roots of Canadian music, from Aboriginal to Cajun, from Celtic to traditional French, featuring Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Daniel Lanois, Jimmy Rankin, and Derek Miller.

Episode 2 - Bound for Movin' On
Tuesday January 11th at 9 PM ET/PT
The country side of Canadian music takes us from the rolling hills of Alberta to the streets of promise in Music City U.S.A. Featuring Shania Twain, Hank Snow, Wilf Carter, Ian Tyson, and Paul Brandt.

Episode 3 - Rock and a Hard Place
Tuesday January 18th at 9 PM ET/PT
America has Bruce Springsteen, John Cougar Mellencamp and Sheryl Crow; these are the Canadian singer/songwriters with an eye - and an ear - for the times in which they live. Featuring Neil Young, Bryan Adams, Tom Cochrane, Charlie Major, Ron Sexsmith, Fred Eaglesmith, and Damhnait Doyle.

Episode 4 - Four Strong Winds
Tuesday January 25th at 9 PM ET/PT
Part one of a look at the strong Canadian folk music tradition, featuring Gordon Lightfoot, Bruce Cockburn, Murray McLauchlan, Stan Rogers, Sylvia Tyson, and Valdy.

Episode 5 - Sisters of Mercy
Tuesday February 1st at 9 PM ET/PT
Part two of a look at the strong Canadian folk music tradition, featuring Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Jann Arden, and Chantal Kreviazuk.

Episode 6 - Groups
Tuesday February 8th at 9 PM ET/PT
The varied sounds of Canadian groups, featuring Bachman Turner Overdrive, Nickelback, Our Lady Peace, Blue Rodeo, Barenaked Ladies, Tragically Hip, Great Big Sea, Sum 41, and Cowboy Junkies.

Episode 7 - Pop Goes the World
Tuesday February 15th at 9 PM ET/PT
A look at the art of the three-minute chart-topping single and the Canadian singer/songwriters who create them. Featuring Dan Hill, Paul Anka, Burton Cummings, Andy Kim, and Avril Lavigne.

Episode 8 - From the Tower of Song
Tuesday February 22nd at 9 PM ET/PT
Canadian song-poets with a particularly passionate outlook on love and life, featuring Leonard Cohen, Alanis Morissette, Hawksley Workman, Carol Pope, and Jane Siberry.
