I might only have known him for a few years but he was a good friend who was always up for a laugh. |

Dave will surely be missed by "many more beyond" indeed, meself included. A fine fellow, who made such a contribution to so much music in the Fylde area. RIP Dave. |

19 Jan 05 - 06:45 AM (#1382148) Subject: RE: Obit: Dave Ryan (17 Jan 05 ) From: PennyBlack We announced it at Longridge Folk Club last night. Talking to Mike this morning, it would appear Dave collapsed in the street and was dead by the time the ambulance arrived, Mike isn't aware of the cause, but the usual Heart attack/Stoke is suspected (Dave was also a diabetic) Mike says Thursdays Fleetwood Folk Club will still be going ahead although he feels it may drift more towards a chat and drink session. see you further down the list Dave, RIP. Why not say he died ? If ye want to be high falutin' and use the Latin form to say he passed away, then do it correctly. It should be "obiit". |

In the old old days OBIIT was actually written on the stone slabs. I don't think OBIT. is an accepted abbreviation for obituary but I take your point. And God rest all the good people who are gone before us. |
