What is the title of the ballad song Gillian Welsh sang in harmony with David Rawlings on the "Brother Wherefore Art Thou" Concert? Better still, if someone can post the lyrics that will be great.

I suspect its this one (I'll Fly Away)

Some bright morning when this life is o'er
I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away.

Chorus:
I'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away.

When the shadows of this life have gone
I'll fly away
Like a bird from these prison walls I'll fly
I'll fly away.

Chorus:
I'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away.

--- Instrumental ---

Oh, how glad and happy when we meet
I'll fly away
No more cold iron shackles on my feet
I'll fly away.

Chorus:
I'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away.

--- Instrumental ---

Chorus:
I'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away.

Just a few more weary days and then
I'll fly away
To a land where joys will never end
I'll fly away.

Chorus:
I'll fly away, oh Glory
I'll fly away in the morning
When I die Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away.

When I die Hallelujah, by and by
I'll fly away...

"I'll Fly Away" is an old hymn and has been covered by many folks over the years....

They also did "My Dear Someone"-- the very slow waltzy number, and "I Want to Sing that Rock and Roll". That should be on the lyrics site as well. They're both on her 'Revelator' cd.

I thought Gillian sang "I'll Fly Away" with Alison Krauss, not David Rawlings. Bex McK has listed the two she did with DR on the concert album...

To set the record straight, the first film was "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", the second—the concert film—was "Down from the Mountain," and the singer was Gillian Welch. There have been numerous threads about each of them, in case anyone wants to search.

There was a BBC FOUR concert of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings shown this weekend.

I suspect that it will likely be repeated and when it is - you will see a real treat.

From: GUEST,I may stand corrected.

Got the album out and played it. Flat Black Ford is in "Pass You By"
but I almost sure the early cut had a Black Ford on the cover.
That's what threw me. Still looking for info on Copy with Ford on cover: http://artists.letssingit.com/gillian-welch-lyrics-pass-you-by-mk3ckn7
Thanks for thr help WOD.
