I've heard it as done by the Rankins with the chorus only in English: "These twelve months and better, my lover has left the shore. He ne'er will return 'til he's traveled the whole world oer, and when he returns, with laurels I'll crown him oer, he's the fondest of lovers (ooh at first I typed "livers"--nix that), sweet Jimmy Mo Ghile a Stor."
