Barbara provides vocals on the track which also features Troy Donockley, Danny Thompson, Martin Allcock, John Kirkpatrick, Peter Knight and Katherine Tickell. Barbara says that the theme is lovely but we will have to wait until next year to see if Granada will be using it. Nigel |

The odd bits of music have included fiddles and Northumbrian pipes. I have been wondering who the actual real musicians might be. Any accurate inside info anyone? I do note that the musical score is credited to Nick Bicat (pardon if spelling is incorrect), who was credited with music for The Irish RM - one of Channel 4's earliest programmes which used to also feature members of De-Dannan as musicians at dances etc. Quack!! The band was... Nick Bicat, composer, guitar, keyboards, programming Danny Thompson, double bass Peter Knight, violin Troy Donockley, whistles Angus Lyon/John Kirkpatrick, squeezeboxes Kathryn Tickell, Northumbrian pipes Maartin Allcock, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, cumbus and other weird stuff The song near the end (first episode) was Stranger To Himself by the late and truly great Sandy Denny.
