Just in case you've missed the references to it from Breezy buried in other threads, or still don't know who we are...

This Sunday 30th January, Christine Connolley and Steve Last will be featuring at the St Albans Spotlight Club, British Legion, Verulam Road, St Albans. Starts at 8pm.

Details here or here

We'd love all our friends to be there as it's out first real gig together.

Chris "Moses" & Steve "The Ref"

If only!

Oh, I wish I could come along to listen to you both. Am direly beset by a nasty cold however & am spending lots of time in bed so as to get better soon. Don't think I'll be well enough by Sunday though.

Best of luck to you, from the snippets I've heard, you two are doing well & it'll be a fabulous evening. Enjoy :-)

They are very hard working, 2 evenings of rehearsals this week.

I'm not putting pressure on them but each time they as individuals have put on a 'Spotlight' they have chosen well their material and provided us with a first rate show.
I for one am looking forward with eager anticipation to Sunday night at the 'Spotlight'

it is possible to have a floor spot if your in time.

I jst 'fill-in'

Looking forward to Sunday!

Thursday's rehearsal was a challenge - teenage disco running full blast downstairs. Steve could hear it from his car as he drove into the carpark.

Thank you Papa G and Freda for your good wishes.

We have some new (to us) stuff to sing and some old favourites.

Next Saturday (5th February) we're at The Bull at Barton. Our spot there is 8.30pm - 9.00pm. It promises to be a great eveing with lots of Catters performing and it's all in aid of the Tsunami appeal.

Well...

Chris and I had a great time. Really enjoyed it. Both our voices held up and it all went (nearly) to plan.

Smallish audience, (except for Fleggy, who's quite tall!) but they appeared to appreciate what they heard.

Thanks to all who came and the encouragement from those who couldn't make it, thanks to John for giving us the gig, and of course thanks to Chris, without whom it would have been just me!

Thanks to everyone who was able to be there and to those who couldn't make it but sent good wishes and encouragement. And to Breezy, of course, for booking us at a time when he'd only heard us sing one song together!

It was so lovely and relaxed, we just couldn't help enjoying ourselves.

Looking forward, now, to next Saturday at the Bull, Barton-le-Clay where we join the elite. Evening concert starts at 6pm (we're on at 8.30pm for half an hour and there just MAY be a new song from Steve). I think we're sandwiched between Mick Pearce and Julie Ellison - mmm!! - do come and watch.

We may also pop in to Redbourne this Thursday to heckle hot-fingers Flegg.
