30 Jan 05 - 11:39 AM (#1393282) Subject: RE: BS: TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE From: Bunnahabhain No it's not. It's occasionally funny, but very crude. Go and see it only if nothing else on at the cinema appeals. |

30 Jan 05 - 02:20 PM (#1393429) Subject: RE: BS: TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE From: s6k yes very crude indeed. but it had to be - its a satire. so what if its rude and crude, its a film - dont take things so seriously. it is more than occasionally funny, and is the best film out at cinema at the moment, with the exception of "Sideways" and "Closer" - which are two outstanding films |

31 Jan 05 - 01:05 PM (#1394444) Subject: RE: BS: Team America: World Police From: GUEST I plan to see T/A; i'll have to rent it, I guess. But I thought "Closer" stank to high heaven. The characters were shallow. They never developed. I could not sympathize with them in any way. And what was the plot, anyway? Was this some "European" movie that I just didn't "get" because I am hopelessly American? It was the first movie I almost walked out on. Why was it good? |
