01 Feb 05 - 01:12 AM (#1395292) Subject: RE: BS: Osama, Saddam, _________________????.... From: Little Hawk Har! Har! Nice one, Martin. It's Zarquawi, isn't it? There ALWAYS must be a new "bad guy" to focus the USA public's hatred and fear upon. Always. It's just like TV dramas. You gotta give the people a "face" to obsess over. Sometimes it doesn't take...like that warlord in Somalia. Does anyone remember him anymore? Hmm. Usually it works great, though. Think Castro, Che Guevara, Manuel Noriega, Quaddafi, Milosevic, Saddam, Osama, and Saddam yet again...it also helps greatly if the bad guy is swarthy and has facial hair!!! Scary, scary! Notice how unnewsworthy Saddam has become lately? (sigh) He's not even on the charts at the moment. We gotta find Saddam a new agent and see if we can revitalize his "bad guy" image in a way that SELLS. Maybe if he did a radical style change the way Madonna or David Bowie used to do every few years. That might work! |
