Oh, help! We were at Estrella or GWW, and this lovely woman sang us the "Anne Boleyn Limbo" Of course, the chorus went:
    Anne Boleyn, Boleyn, Boleyn;
    Anne Boleyn, Boleyn Boleyn.
I REEEEEAAAAALLLLLLYYY need the words to this great song. It goes verse by verse describing all of Henry's poor wives, and was a super crowd pleaser.

I have looked for 6 years to find it, pleeeeease help!

B!

Have you tried asking on rec.org.sca or any of the other SCA lists?

Are you sure you're not thinking of "With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm" which is also known as Anne Boleyn"? That one is in the DT and discussed in several threads.

If there is a different song, I'd love to see the lyrics as well.

Looks like it's a different song, with the repeats of BOLEYN sounding like repeats of LIMBO. Sounds interesting

I'm not even familiar with a song that repeats the word "limbo."

I asked out on a bard's list I belong to - and one member (so far) remembers hearing it at Great Western War three years ago.

I strongly suspect your best chance of getting the lyrics is to ask on an SCA list; tho' if you get them, please post back here!

another respondent says he believes the title is the "Anne Bo-Limbo" - but also doesn't know the lyrics.

The song is by Mistress Magdalen Venturosa of the Kingdom of Atenveldt.

It is a fun song! If you contact her, she can help you get the lyrics.

Chorus as vaguely remembered:

Anne Bolyn Bolyn Bolimbo
Anne Bolyn Bolyn Bolimbo
Her name/ Her name was Anne Bolyn

Verses concern the basic life of Henry VIII (not the widder next door who’s been married 7times before) and one of his wives, as named.

Hasn’t anyone found them yet?

Isn't it cheating to do the Limbo with no head?

Jim Dixon: I'm not even familiar with a song that repeats the word "limbo."

IIRC the tune was Limbo Rock (Billy Strange et al.)
