24 Jul 05 - 12:07 PM (#1527044) Subject: RE: Abbey Gael From: waterdragon Just returned from this great day of celtic music.I can only say I'm glad we went. It may have been expensive but the wealth of talent was phenomenal.Artists such as Lunasa"Irelands greatest acoustic band" oh yes they were!,Leon Hunt and the Daily Planet , amazing,Charlie Mckerron and Tim Edey, wonderful tunes,Last Nights Fun-had a job getting the afternoon crowd swinging but managed it in the end. These were just a handful of the musicians playing on saturday.I'll gladly go again if they organise for next year!!!! |

26 Jul 05 - 06:34 AM (#1528554) Subject: RE: Abbey Gael From: Mrs_Annie Yes I was there too. Really excellent line-up, and very well organised for a first time festival. My personal favouirites were Michael McGoldrick Trio and the new Malinky, closely followed by Nancy Kerr/James Fagan, Last Nights Fun. |
