I don't think anyone actually believed it because the premise is just too silly. As you say--maybe it's good material for a fake-song (ala Frozen Logger). SRS |

I know I didn't bother to look up which thread that story had been posted in. Thanks for adding it in. That story was so obviously concocted, it never seemed remotely real. Think about it. The guy drinks all of that beer just to warm it up? He could have held the bottles inside his coat for a while to achieve the same thing. And then to get it out of the car, what kind of contortions is he going to have to do for days on end all day long just to pee out of the window? As someone in the other thread remarked, much easier to pour the bottled beer out of the window. :) SRS |

Not really - there's a chemical process involved when you drink the beer, producing heat, as with any other kind of food. I'm sure there's a research project in this, finding out whether it would actually work. Perhaps some Morris side could take it on. |

04 Feb 05 - 04:27 PM (#1399339) Subject: RE: BS: 'Man Urinates Way Out of Snow' Myth: From: Jim Dixon In Minnesota, I think they've tried spreading urea crystals on the streets instead of salt, the advantage being that urea doesn't cause cars to rust, and doesn't kill grass, trees, and other vegetation. I don't remember hearing how the experiment turned out, though, so I don't know if they still do it. |
