07 Feb 05 - 10:51 AM (#1401539) Subject: Tune Req: Song(s) for St David's Day? From: Fossil Have been invited by some Welsh friends to a St David's Day party - leek soup and all that, look you... Song suggestions anyone? I've been asked to bring the guitar and sing something Welsh, but I can't remember anything except "Cosher Bailey". So, help please! Preferably not in the Welsh language (a bit beyond me, especially for singing), not too muc Harry Secombe-ish warbling and complete with lyrics, chords and background notes if poss. Not asking much am I? Thanks in advance, Fossil |

Apart from the humourous stuff, he did a nice song, "Swansea Town" which is all warm and fuzzy. Llwyn Onn / The Ash Grove is in the Digitrad, as is All Through the Night and Bells of Rhymney. Somewhere in there is the Woad Song too. All good choices. Nigel spearheaded a drive to translate Cân y Melinydd but I don't think it's been 'harvested' yet. Hope this helps. siân |

"â" is easiest done by typing 131 on the numeric pad while holding down the "Alt" key. I see you've included a "¢" in your name. Is that to stop us saying "there's no cents in Siân" Cheers Nigel |

I'm using the new accents softward from Draig Technology. I guess it looks different if you don't have it? You could just call me Madame Sin ... but only if you can keep a straight face. siAlt131n |
