We will be performing with mid-atlantic accents in the hope of getting a return booking in Detroit. It's a decent bus trip and relief drivers will be required to help us out. Please form an orderly queue...........................

Penny said she didn't want a card or flowers for today, so I didn't bother. When I went home at dinner time she said "Where's my f##king roses then?"

I am sure you can think of something to ease her pain Edward.

How did it go at Zest?

Fabulous! fifteen guitarists turned up, including the very lovely Leslie Mates who was taught by Diego del Gastor. A good bunch turned up from the University Spanish Society too, a Godlike evening indeed. The landlord was well pleased as we drank shedloads of red wine. Strange to think that if we hadn't moved the club last year, we would have been booted out now, as the pub we had used since 1972 was Sam Smith's.

The suttle difference Ted is that the Manager (along with his wife) are the owners, its in there interest to accommodate the customers, they are trying to encourage live music as much as possible which is to be applauded. They could maybe teach business skills to Mr Smith…….we will be playing there again very soon.

When's that then Dave? Ted, why didn't you get Penny a new lounge window thus keeping her warm?

Is 'les from Hull' really playing with the HWB on sunday? You do realise that he will stand out like a sore thumb since you two are bald!

Les has offered to shave his head as a Tsunami money raising gesture. The added benefit is that he will look younger like what we is. The only problem with him playing with us is that he won't let us inspect the contents of his wardrobe so we can't guarantee that he won't be colour co-ordinated with the other band members. Our contract clearly states........................... This problem wouldn't have occured with you Ted as we know you are quite dapper so to speak.

Deadstring Brothers CD is good. One of those that you can play over and over and over and over and over........................again. Laid back country rock music. Good for the car.................
