The ceilidh on Saturday night with Brassneck playing should be good! I'll be there....

Just spoke with the organisers - Saturday's line-up looks good! (I have to say that the Ceilidh will be gobsmackingly brilliant - as well as Brassneck, Sensible Shoes will be appearing to give a bit of light relief!)

And any 'catters around early Saturday evening: it'd be great to say "hullo" - I'm scheduled to play at 18.15. I think it's at The Royal...

Hello again...I've just done the festival blicky and ....errrmmm...we AREN'T the ceildh band!!!! There's only two of us!!! I think they are "The Bracken Rigg Ceilidh Band"...we are simply "Brackenrigg", a trad based duo from UK midlands, playing guitars ,mandos and banjo, with vocal harmonies and a penchant for London Pride ale!!! Glad we got that sorted - cos if you book us expecting half a dozen...etc etc. Mind you, I did live in t'Lakes for a long time (wish I still bloody did!!)and the name comes from the house of a friend of my son, (both of whom still live there), overlooking the Winding Mere itself!! I'd best shut up here otherwise t'melancholy'll set in.....!!!    Ahem.. if anybody fancies booking us, please PM for details..

                  Regards again to all....Spot

Hamish

Around 18.15 I will be carting all my gear into the Unitarian(?) Church at the end of Parade, ready for the Ceilidh - otherwise I would be delighted to come to your spot! If you would care to "Come on down!" afterwards though, you could have a bit of a dance to us!

Spot - where is LP freely available in the Midlands? It's the only thing I miss about London!

Hamish...
Ermmm...dare I say I prefer the cans to bottles and draught..(sorrysorry all RA buffs!!) Nevr seen it "freely" available anywhere!! Most local supermarkets do 4 for about a fiver. Did The Droop ever have it on draught? You still playing your Northworthy!Bet you wouldnt remember me from t'Droop!!

Well, Spot, I bet I would. But I don't know as I knew you as "Spot" then, did I? What was your name then? And what's your guilty secret? ;-)

And, yes, I'm still playing the Northworthy. And it's sounding better than ever.
