Tune Req: Poison Beer

Does anyone have the tune to hand? I can remember the tune to the chorus from a long time ago, but the verse is beyond memory. KYBTTS, Chris.

Can be found on Peter Collins' CD 'Old Timer' HATCD019

And I was sure the original source was on one of the 'Voice of the People' CDs, but I can't find which one.

However, the original can certainly be found sung by Fred Whiting on 'Who Owns the Game?' VT130CD. Worth buying anyway.

And that would, perhaps, be Barbara Brown? Thanks for that; I've only ever heard it sung by Bob and Kath Drage, but never spoke to them about it or remembered anything but the chorus (probably 'cos I was singing it....). Since leaving Kent I haven't seen or heard of them -do you happen to know if they are both still well? Once again, thanks. Keep well,
Chris Nixon

The very same, Chris. Bob & Kathy are, as far as I know, quite well, although we see nothing of them at the singarounds at Broadstairs since they started charging for them! I think they may well buy a season ticket now, and go to the concerts instead! They are, I know, now editing the Kent folk magazine.

Perhaps you should consider coming back to Broadstairs Festival, even though no longer living in Kent - it just gets better and better!

All the best,
Barbara
