They always sound a bit whacko, but when you see the end result, they're pretty interesting. The temporary nature of them is as much of it as the yards of fabric required and the planning necessary to set it all up. It's not a particularly risky prediction to say that New Yorkers will be pleased with the outcome. SRS |

I think that's great! An argument could be made, I suppose, that the twenty million or so it cost to mount the show could have been put to better use, but then the money belongs to the person exhibiting. I thought the Biscayne Bay islands were quite attractive, and that gorge in Colorado was interesting. The running fence in California got a lot of attention at the time. I've always wondered what the rate of vandalism is that they have to deal with, or if these works of art lead charmed lives? SRS |

I could build something really nice with all the Materials! Actually I think it looks pretty amazing from the air, weaving it's path through the park....it didn't, however, look like I thought it might.....I had a vision of Gates with Saffron Cloths blowing in the wind like prayer Flags. Not just hanging like Curtains....still....guesss that's why I ain't the Artists eh!!! Ill stick to Music.....lol Blessings Jude |
