News this morning is that the newest form (called A-California for where it was identified), is a likely import from China that is spreading quickly, hasn't been seen here before, and is most likely going to be the one to cause complications for adults who catch it. They predict it will be the big one next year, but making the stuff for flu shots will be difficult because this one "doesn't like eggs" (where they culture it). I think this is what went through our household last week (some of us had flu shots, and this wasn't in the cocktail). SRS |
