BS: Ebay prostitutes

18 Feb 05 - 10:18 AM (#1413985)
Subject: BS: Ebay prostitutes
From: Donuel

I will supply the link if adm. thinks it prudent and not just pimping for ebay prostitution, but all in all it is pretty funny calling it a personal (live in) wake up service.

On a different note, for those who enjoy irony, here is a thread I started elsewhere that seems to have played into my "intentions" only too well.

A reserve bid of US$ 100,000?

That's a lot of money to paint my house.

Capitalism a la "anything can be bought - everything is negotiable between a seller offering a product and a buyer who wants the product being offered" isn't all bad....

Amazing. She should go for $500,000. I bet there's some rich idiot out there who would pay it. High price can encourage high rate of customer interest.

I haven't looked at Donuel's links, but I suspect they're much like what you'll find if you search for "Tantric Goddess." (Try Google Image Search, and of course turn off the "Safe Search" filter.) Possibly there are "degrees of blatent," but I'd think not much.

I'm told by friends in the transportation business that Las Vegas has come up with a sort of new one to prop up sagging casino revenues. Las Vegas is, I think, in the only Nevada county where prostitution is NOT legal. (A few cities have local laws.) It has been determined that it's only the "making a contract" or "paying for" that's prohibited. If you call to a phone number outside the county and pay in advance by credit card, your selected "service tradesperson" can come to your "place where maintenance services are required" and it's perfectly legal. If you decide you need additional "services" your "worker" must leave the county, you must call again and make payment in advance, and the "service" is performed when the worker returns.

You must originate the phone call, since a call originated by the "worker" could be construed as "soliciting for..." which is also illegal in that county.

Phone numbers readily available on the nightstand at your hotel, or at the nearest truck stop. (At some better hotels you might have to ask, or look in the free "entertainment newspapers.")

I'm told it's much simpler in Reno, Nevada; although the casinos are a little less fancy.

I sent her an email (through Ebay), as follows:

Dear peapie25,

LOL! Hilarious. Do you figure there is actually someone out there who is soul-less enough, rich enough, lonely enough, and stupid enough...to pay $100,000 for what you are clearly offering them in this ad? Hmmm. Well, yeah! I'm betting there is. There are a lot of really, really stupid men out there. Well...I guess in another 8 or so days, you'll know. Lotsa luck!

Cheers, George

She replied:

THANK YOU so much for the encouraging words

Jessica

Just checked the ad. Jessica orginally had 3 photos there of herself. One of them was sort of suggestive. Well, she took the nicest of the 3 original photos out (just standing there, looking like "the girl next door") and replaced it with a REALLY suggestive one! Ack!

I have sent Jessica another urgent message, warning her of the danger of attracting "the wrong sort of guy" with such tacky and revealing photos.

I anxiously await her reply. :-)

Jessica is back on Ebay. She has revamped the ad in such a way as not to violate Ebay's guidelines. She sent me an email to let me know. The new ad can be viewed at:

Jessica's New Ad

I replied:

Awright!!! Way to go, Jessica. I think starting with $5,000 is a lot more reasonable, actually. The folks on my music forum are gonna be happy to know that you're giving it another shot. Well, some of them will be. Some disapprove of the ad. You know how it is...

I've noticed with Ebay ads that the vital thing is to provide information that catches people's attention in a unique way. I'd say you have accomplished that. :-)

I saw one amazing ad a guy did. He had had a nasty breakup and divorce, after what he described as 3 hellish years of marriage. It was the way he described it that was so damned funny...you would have to read it. It was a comic masterpiece. Anyway, he'd really been burned financially, but he had one thing his wife didn't take when she left...the wedding dress! And it was a friggin' EXPENSIVE one too. He'd forked out I think about $5,000 for it. It had diamonds and stuff on it. So...he was selling the wedding dress on Ebay. He had several beautiful photos of it...and guess who was modeling it? HIM. And this was a big, strong, brunette guy with a beard...looked sort of like a biker. It was hilarious.

He said all he wanted was maybe half of what he had paid for the dress...

Well, the ad was so brilliant that over 75 people ended up bidding on that dress, and he finally sold it for over $12,000!!!! Now THAT was a good ad. Me, I just buy and sell hobby stuff. Model airplanes and that sort of thing. I've been into that all my life, along with music.

So, I'll be watching and see how you do. Hey, I hope the weather's good in Texas. There's a lot of snow here in Canada.

Cheers,

George

Maybe, Clinton. On the other hand, your "Real Doll" will stay longer than a week, never talk back, and not eat any of your food... :-) Ask Howard Stern about that. He dated one of the things, and provided a testimonial on their site.

Subject: RE: BS: Ebay prostitutes

I remember the wedding dress. ;)

I wonder if anyone remembers my series of 20 violin auctions that were the all time parody of all the worst ebay descriptions regarding violin auctions.

such as:

Dead man's fiddle
Stratovarious
Emile d'Merde French violin
Devil's violin
Violin found in floor
Worst violin in the world-RARE
Violin 1750 BC
Snake head violin
Orca straw violin
Dolphin head cello
Violin labled Lockheed Martin/ Satan/ Leonardo d'Vinci/ Adolf Hilter etc.

They were all actual violins mind you and accurate in physical description with all the added artwork, scrolls, labels ... up to the point of the added folklore and language that varied from Agatha Christi to hillbilly.

Eventually the joke was on me when one cello and violin actually turned out to be valuable.

Yes, LH, there are LOTS of forums on eBay depending on subject area.

Did anyone see Leno last night? He did a "things we found on eBay" segment which included a well-endowed young woman who auctioned off the right to place advertising on her breasts!

Apparently this is all the rage: couple offer bods for adverts. Some even are doing it for charity!

Kat - the couple that are offering to rent themselves for advertising...I just sent them an email question about their ad, as follows:

****

Are you willing to advertise for a virginity restoration service? I represent Virginity Restorations Inc. Our motto: "Re-experience the Thrill of the First Time! - Satisfaction Guaranteed!" You would simply have to dress normally for the photoshoot, and wear winning smiles while exchanging an affectionate look and sporting our official logo. We can also offer an all-expense-paid weekend in Schenectady, New York. Please respond and indicate if this would be acceptable.

I wish one of you folks (read: Little Hawk) had had the presence of mind to cut and paste her text so those of us who are finally back online could have a little idea of what she was selling. Here's what that "other contender" at ebay offered:

    Description

what you can bid on here is not a human body since that would not comply with ebay standards and rules, but a service I can offer. I for one week ( 7 days) will obey or follow any instructions to the best of my ability. I am 22 and willing to do almost anything for the highest bidder. If you have any questions please feel free to ask,I will not do anything illegal or anything to my body. thanks for looking

SRS -

I didn't look at Jessica's original, but the later one that she posted was almost identical to the guy's.

As to Jessica's better camera - the last picture posted had a serious case of "redeye" and some really bad pixel faults. The latter could be related to resizing with cheap software for the posting, but she has really nice grey-blue eyes if you pop the red out. Much prettier without the "demon gleam."

LMAO!!! I got a reply from the couple. The husband, to be precise... He is taking me seriously, it seems. Here is his reply:

"Yes I am willing to do so, I would just have to ask my wife if it is ok with her, which it should. Please send me an e-mail address or a way to get a hold of you so after I talk to her we can get more in to detail. Also where will the photos be taking place, and how will payment be exchanged? You may e-mail me back at (censored by me....****) Thank You and look forward to doing buisness with you."

***

He follows that up with another short message:

***

"I was also wondering if you could send me more about your buisness, such as flyers, pamphlets, website. Any of the following or anyhting else you could think of. Thank You once again."

(his name - censored by me...)

***

Geez. What should I do now? He wasn't even slightly fazed by the notion of a company that restores people's virginity for a fee!

But, on the internet, EVERYthing's for sale. These people are proof of that. There's people selling body parts, advertising space on pregnant bellies, used little girls' panties, sob stories & scams, and nothing at all. My buddy was considering selling a testicle this past summer because he had two and one was all he needed (he's already got two kids and his wife says all she has to do is wash his shorts to get pregnant).

Your little spoof just doesn't hold a candle to the reality of what's on the flog out there.

LH, someone beat you to it a long time ago.:-) Back when virginity was of such importance among the landed gentry, it was not unheard of for a young bride who may have played around a bit, to be outfitted with a bladder of sheep's blood for that all important wedding night proof of purity, often witnessed by important personages who wanted to see their genes carried on. Pretty gross to contemplate, but I am sure it saved a few women their lives and/or kept them from lives of complete desolation as shamed women.
