There were 90 in this village hall, very few of them,"folkies(!)" but the two of them put on one hell of a good show. What has been happening in Derbyshire and Staffordshire is that the excellent "Live and Local" organisation from Warwick are financing Kathryn and Corinna to come to small village halls. Obviously County Council and Arts Council money is supporting this. What better way of spending money is there than getting folk performers "back to the roots" and entertaining people that know little about folk music other than what they like. Three Cheers for Kathryn and Corinna. Three Cheers for "Live and Local"..Could this be the way forward for the NEXT revival? |

Im interested in what you have to say about the "Live and Local" org, sounds a great idea to get some interest started in the "grass roots"...Ake |
