As I've said before probably on this thread and certainly on others, some of the intensity is perhaps born of the isolation that the folk movement's obsessions a 'traditional' sound has imposed on him. One things bloody certain however, a most authoritative voice and one of the finest guitar pickers is absent from every folk radio playlist and every major festival line up.
