'Cept dreaded GUEST with satan's bless To cavil queer On my lost dear And now the mesh Of life is torn Til I add 'refresh' And it rise new-born! |

22 Mar 05 - 02:25 AM (#1440285) Subject: RE: BS: Mudders who watch their Threads Die From: Rustic Rebel Perhaps this is true, and a thread should not die without a reasonable question why? But I got a thread going at this minute without a comment, but me, in it. I thought that someone would respond about Janis, but it seems everyone has their head up their a*us.......... |

22 Mar 05 - 03:40 PM (#1440882) Subject: RE: BS: Mudders who watch their Threads Die From: PoppaGator Sorry ~ no rhyming: I don't mind starting a thread that attracts little or no interest half as much as I mind adding my comment to a thread and then watching the discussion die a slow lingering death as it sinks to the bottom of the page and off. In real life, I like to have the last word, and have been accused to going to great lengths to make sure I get it. When it happens in one of these threads, though, I tend to worry: "What did I say? What did I do wrong?" |

22 Mar 05 - 08:06 PM (#1441130) Subject: RE: BS: Mudders who watch their Threads Die From: GUEST,Jon There seems to be several versions of this one. Not sure who wrote the original. 'Twas an evening in November, As I very well remember. I was strolling down the street in drunken pride, But my knees were all aflutter, So I landed in the gutter, And a pig came up a lay down by my side. Yes, I lay there in the gutter Thinking thoughts I could not utter, When a colleen passing by did softly say, "You can tell a man that boozes By the company he chooses." At that the pig got up and walked away! |
