In non-profits, "development" means fund raising; big endowment campaigns and capital campaigns to design; many big, deep pockets you can say you will touch. Someone "connected". MONEY-maker. Rainmaker. Deliver big names to endorse stuff. And so forth.

OF course it isn't...but doing it for the R&R HOF is a glamourous idea all by itself.
