It's fun and easy to use. It is great for writing tablature and playing back the midi file you can make of the tab you wrote. Very good for learning other tabs done with TABrite. A link is provided to download the "latest DirectX from Microsoft." It doesn't actually say it's required to run the programs, so make your best guess about whether you need it. You'll need WinZIP or some other unzipper to get the files open. These are fairly large downloads, but not too unreasonable. My slow dial-up connection took about a half-hour to get all of what looked useful. I haven't tried this download out yet, but have heard quite a lot of good comment about it. Anyone using TAB for banjo, mando, guitar etc may want to grab the program "just in case" you might want to mess with it later. John |

Since I don't use tab except in emergencies, my comments probably wouldn't mean much anyway. Note that TABrite was shareware (with a fee for the full version). The guys who wrote it lost their web site, so they just decided to turn it loose. John |
