Festival of Blues in London

Is anyone going to the Festival of Blues at the Spitz in London? It is being held throughout the month of April and includes artists who, frankly, I have never heard of before. These include Michael Messer, Son of Dave, and D77. They are due to play on Wednesday 3rd April. On Sunday they had The Mutts, Daddy Fantastic, Son of a Preacher Man and Teasing Lulu. Are these people any good and more specifically, are they the blues. I looked at the website for The Mutts and they seem to draw their inspiration from MC5- a great band, but hardly the blues.

I meant to say that Michael Messer, Son of Dave, and D77 are due to play on Wednesday 6th April and not the 3rd. My apologies.

Michael Messer has been playing good blues in the Thames Valley area for THAT long ! Unless he has totally altered his outlook in the last ten years , he IS a Blues man ! the rest I cant help you with !

The only one you mentioned that I've seen is Michael Messer & I agree with Terry, worth seeing.

With recommendations like that, I shall most certainly go and see him on Wednesday. I shall report back on the others.
