Fascinating insight into the machinations of hierarchy and the first past the post political system. You must enlighten us more with your uncanny knack of nailing the issue.

Regards.

Sidewinder.

Got it in one, Sir John, well done.
We're on the way to power this time and the left wing are helping us do it. It's so funny I can hardly contain myself.

He thinks he's the President's friend.

Unfortuately, many people he purpirts to represent don't want those sort of friends.

purpirts?

I've invented a new word!

I have decided the new word 'purpirt' shall be defined thus:

purpirt (v): To present the appearance of being red when you are in fact blue and have the word 'Thatcher' written through your bone marrow. i.e. Tony purpirts to love Gordon but Gordon thinks he can see an slight ultramarine tinge around Tony's hairline."

Can we have that guaranteed in writing, Guest A Gordon for me, or is it maybe just what you hope will happen.

We've been seeing what Tony's promises mean since 97. Nothing!

Do you object to my making a suggestion to you John? I am going to assume not. If you are going to begin a thread similar to Amos' thread on GWB, get it touch with him first to ask for suggestions. I think it is unlikely you will reach over 1,000 postings if you don't spice up your thread with all manner of Blair bashing columnists who rant and rave in your local newspapers about your PM.

Just a suggestion of course.

Who cares what the Pope thinks about Blair? He's dead and if he wasn't he wouldn't be allowed to vote.

Got no idea of internal British politics, but Tony Blair has a gift of expression that our Prez. sorely lacks.
Now you Brits are gonna go on about how you invented the langwedge.

Well I won't do that robomatic. I think TB is a good speaker and debator - it's just a shame he missuses his abilities to tell lies. GWB is quite diffrent - I don't think he would last 5 minutes in TB's position before being ripped to shreds by other politicians and by the media. He would never make the position in the first place though.
