I was starting to grow fond of Bad Girls and The Bill too, but the buggers dropped it, although the new Dr. Who makes up for my disappointment a bit. Odd, except for Trailer Park Boys and Hamish MacBeth, not much has piqued my interest on the idiot box for a long time and then in the past couple of months all sorts of interesting things have been cropping up in genres I normally wouldn't watch. |

Laurie said that his favorite thing about "House" was reading every new script, because the writing was so good. I felt sorry for Laurie, yoking himself grimly to the punishing ordeal of grinding out a North American accent. In interviews at the time, he said it never got any easier. It was convincing, to be sure, but it kind of made your throat hurt. |
