Ah !! Memories !! I was heavily into jazz before I discovered Folk Music and the Barber Band were among my favourites with Monte Sunshine on Clarinet !! And of course Dick Bishop was a mainstay of the skiffle group after Lonnie left !!

At one time Dickie was living in Harlow and used to go into The Hare
pub on a Sunday lunchtime for a song session, this was in the early sixties when I was involved in The Harlow Folk Club at the Essex Skipper in The Stow.I first heard Dickie at the Wood Green Jazz Club,
in the early fifties, in the Bourne Hall behind the Fishmonger's Arms
when Chris Barber packed it out every Saturday night, and they used to have a skiffle session in the interval. Skiffle hadn't become a craze then and Chris Barber used to sit in on double bass. Those were the days!!
Remember Art and Vi who used to organise the Club on Tuesdays and Saturdays,Art and his braces.

And don´t forget the birthdays of James Last, haha ( April 17,1929 ), and Alexis Korner ( April 19,1928 ) who sadly died in 1984.
