Show of Hands (BBC Folk Awards Best Live Act for 2004) will be appearing at the Castle Hills Community Arts College in Gainsborough (Lincs) on Wednesday 27th April. Lincolnshire's own Miranda Sykes will be with them so it should be a really great night.

Miranda Sykes is brilliant with them Sooz! We saw them all in Sidmouth at Christmas....it was a FANTASTIC night! Fell in love with Miranda's double bass that night, extraordinary sound and she has a beautiful voice too.

If you've never seen Show of Hands live before.....GO AND SEE THEM as quickly as possible....you've NO idea WHAT you've been missing!!

AND there's their new CD coming out soon, 'Live on Tour' a selection of their gigs from last year, which Miranda is on as well.

Oh.....Show of Hands!....Oh! ;0) ;0)

Lizzie :0)

Would be there like a shot Sooz but we're in Kent. As a matter of fact we've just collected our new tour bus (er, van) which is now sitting proudly on the drive. Since we leave on Monday I don't expect to have too much time to get it properly converted before we leave. As you are basking in the warm glow of an excellent evening, we'll be experiencing the delights of van living.

Life on the road .....

I'm sure you'll have a great gig.

Can't wait. Will they let Miranda do 'The Lincolnshire Song' and 'Will Ye Go To Flanders', I wonder? Hope so.

Les, I'm certainly not in competiton with Mr Stitherum! When he pushes his beard up over his face and you can only see his forehead.....mmmmm ....well......He used to look like RH but now he looks more like a koala.....sorry Mike...just being flippant.
See you all Friday....tomorrow! Best wishers, Mike.

I wont be there as I will be at Whitby, watching Duncan McFarlane Band and Dan McKinnon.
Not even an invite to sing at Gainsborough Folk Club would make me change my mind :-)
