When the NBA Washington Bullets changed their name to the Wizards about 7 'er 8 years ago I said to myself "I ain't callin' 'um the Wizards until they win a play-off game!!!" I mean. like I've been a Bullets fan since they was the Baltimore Bullets back in the 70's an'...sniff... they have been thu so much adversity over the last couple of decades that I don't think anyone could find and professional sports team that has had such a long run of bad luck, bad choices, bad this and bad that... I mean, bar none... So winnin' a playoff game fir this team is like hitting the lottery 'er even better than hittin' the lottery... Thanks fir comin' to the party, Rap and Eb... Now if they'd kept Jehidi White, a Georgetown trained center, rather than Brenda and Kwame, we'd have a tough inside game to go with the shooters. Our big men are incapable of having more than one or two good games in a row. But it's been a DAMN long time since we saw, much less WON a playoff game, so I've gotta be happy, if only momentarily. Then pray for some good off season fine tuning from Mr. Grunfeld. |
