I have an extensive collection of original British radio chart shows from 1962 on through the 1970's. These started as PICK OF THE POPS with Alan Freeman through to Radio One Top Twenty. Nothing beat the chart rundown when you couldn't afford to buy the records ! Does anyone else collect these or know where you could meet other collectors for exchanges ? Thanks.

I too have a large collection of British radio shows starting with
Pick of the pops in 1959 with David Jacobs and later Alan Freeman.    From October 1972 it was replaced with Solid Gold Sixty with a new
presenter Tom Browne.
My Favourite chart shows are POTP with Alan Freeman and i would love
to get some more from this era by exchanging shows with other collectors. Thanks

Did you tape any broadcasts from "Saturday Club" ? '60 through to '65? Carl Perkins, Del Shannon, Roy Orbison, The Rolling Stones, Billy Fury, Joe Brown & the Bruvvers, Cliff and The Shads, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers, in fact nearly all the Merseybeat bands, all live in the studio. The Beatles of course did many SC live sessions but their BBC stuff is available on CD. There were a lot of other artists; The Steve Benbow Folk Four, Val Doonican (very uncool)dozens of of Brit Trad Jazz bands and acts that disapeared into oblivion. A lot of it was rubbish even then, but there was some real gold there. Given nostalgia and hindsight even some of the rubbish would be worth a curious listen.
