I came across it in some magazine. here is a web site http://www.hellofrommyheart.com/default.htm Someone started saying this to people in his town and crime went way down. Now they have a day, September 11, for it. I say let's do it. mg |

If it catches on I will probably spend September 11th avoiding personal contact with ANYONE because the third or fourth time someone said it to me I'd go for their throat. Why? Because done in that manner it becomes meaningless. |

05 May 05 - 01:13 PM (#1478776) Subject: RE: BS: Hello from my Heart movement From: GUEST,MMario no - don't want that either. But it is like the various ribbon campaigns. they have become essentially meaningless because there are ribbons for just about anything you can think of and people wear and display them because it's expected rather then because they actually support the particular cause. If this campaign comes about you can be practically garunteed that 99.5 % of the people doing it will be doing it because it is the "thing" to do - rather then because they have ANY meaning to the statement. |

Those pink ribbons that are everywhere have raised a lot of money for breast cancer research by being on t-shirts etc. We have to overcome our inner cynic and embrace our inner pollyanna. mg |

05 May 05 - 02:24 PM (#1478828) Subject: RE: BS: Hello from my Heart movement From: GUEST I am willing to bet that the ONLY time many of those pink ribbon wearers donated was when they got the ribbon in exchange. Whereas there are people who don't flash the ribbon who donate over and over and over again. |

05 May 05 - 02:29 PM (#1478833) Subject: RE: BS: Hello from my Heart movement From: robomatic I saw a news article on TV a couple years back about a guy who didn't like to say 'hell-o' on the phone, so he answers 'heaven-o' and is trying to spread the word. It sounds really really awful unless you consider the sweet gentle spirit behind it, and then it sounds really really sick. |
