From: Charles Concannon

Please help me locate some quality MIDIs for the following Irish Songs: A Nation Once Again; Spancil Hill; I.R.E.L.A.N.D.; Streets of New York; Kevin Barry; The Boys of the Old Brigade; Come Out yea Black and Tans; The Rising of the Moon; Minstrel Boy; Fields of Athenry - I have checked out many Irish MIDI sites and am still having a difficult time finding quality MIDIs for the above songs. Any assistance is sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I'm afaid I don't know what a MIDI is, but...... I just returned from Ireland with several lyric books and teaching tapes. I have most of the songs you asked for. I could copy them and send it to you. Lyrics would be easier than the tapes. Let me know. Ireland was great by the by, but the pubs are VERY smoky (I'm still recooperating from smokers hack!)Great people and beer.

Thanks for the quick response - I already have the lyrics from other song books I've purchased over the years - MIDI files for these songs seem to be very hard to come by over the internet. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Ireland - I hope to travel there next year with my father. Thanks for trying!

Charles:

You'll find a lot of what your looking for at Port Dillon's Irish Page. Here's the address;

Port Dillon's Irish Page

The red area on the right will be a Christmas treat. Go have a ball. I sure did when I first found it. Almost as good as the Mudcat.

I won't pre-judge the quality (of my own work), but I have two of the tunes you seek on my Irish midi page... Minstrel Boy and Fields of Athenry. See... Irish midi page
