Folk Festival that will be coming up June 18, 2005 in the lovely hamlet of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Huge schedule of events from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, with two performance stages, 5 workshops and three jam sessions going on every hour on the hour. The program includes the usual instrument instruction (even a beginning Bouzouki class), many dance classes/demonstrations, storytelling, and songwriting. Overwhelming pride forces me to advertise that the ladies from the Enchanted Mesa Show Chorus who won FIRST PLACE (in their size chorus) and SECOND PLACE (overall) in their recently completed regional competition will be there to host a workshop and recruit any ladies interested in barbershop singing. The lovely and wonderfully talented Mrs. Freightdawg will be there to assist the quartet "Southwest Edition" in holding the workshop. For further information: www.abqfolkfest.org Freightdawg |
