Another polished performance from Jack, pity he wasn't on longer in the second half, I can't understand club organisers who insist on putting on droves of floor singers to do just one song and then run out of time to give the guest artist an encore.
I for one had driven 30 miles to see Jack perform and was very disapointed that he had to finish in such a hurried fashion.

The club itself was very good, nice atmosphere and a good size room and the food was good in the interval.

P.A system was of a good quality, slightly out of balance voice to guitar, I was at the back of the room and on occasion struggled to hear Jack's guitar work.

One last point, it would be a good idea to have a small raised platform for the artist to perform from, Jack prefers to sit when he performs and again being sat at the back you have no visual link with the performer.

Over all it was a very good night, Jacks performance was spot on, he played several tracks from his new acoustic cd, elvis is " alive and well " plus one or two old favorites, Drift Away certainly came out of the bottom draw and went down very well with the very appreciative audience.

Thanks to Spondon Folk Club for putting Jack on, I for one will certainly return.
