The Canadian CD release concert for Dan McKinnon's fifth cd, Fields of Dreams and Glory, has sold out one week in advance. This promises to be one of the hottest folk concerts of the summer. Dan will be joined by Paul Mills, aka Curly Boy Stubbs, John Chiasson on bass, and Anthony Rissesco on fiddle.

For those of you who were not able to get any tickets for this performance, the concert will be recorded by Glenn Meisner, producer for CBC Nova Scotia's Atlantic Airwaves, for a future broadcast.

It really is a very good selection of songs.

I dont intend to wear it out, it should be sipped like wine, taken slowly to savour every track, periods of abstinance are to be observed, which will enhance the appreciation of the achievement.

From there, it shows he's in Ontario in April

8th - Open for Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Concert - Orangeville, Ontario.

9th - House Concert - Welland, Ontario.
 
And in Halifax at the end of April

28th & 29th - Beer and Beethoven - Fund-Raiser with Symphony Nova Scotia - Halifax, Nova Scotia (tent).

Apparently he'll be in England in June and early July! So go watch for him. Check out his web-site for information on one of Nova Scotia's best song writers and singers

I believe he has a couple of new songs in the mix that he is putting into his performances.

He's still working on getting the rights to Between Wind and Water so he can start it up again, but if it can't, well, he can always produce a new recording with some of those songs included, if the NS government won't co-operate!
