...and from Nova Scotia, Canada. We don't have earthquakes or volcanic eruptions, and for that I am thankful. Best wishes to all on the Cat for the Holidays. I, too, have received a great deal of help, information, and just pure joy in sharing the love of music with others from around the world. May your Christmas season be filled with the love of family, friends and the wonderful sounds of music. Best wishes from my family here to the Mudcat Family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Keep Singin'.

Dan

Skarpi

Down here in Austalia we trust you'll look after Santa for us as he passes your way. No... that can't be right. I've just realised that he'll be here first. In about thirty minutes we'll be a day ahead of you so Santa must start in Australia ?????? and work his way North.

Anyway.

Tell us about your favourite song Skarpi....

Good wishes

Bill

And from vascillating Art Thieme from Illinois, where we MIGHT/MIGHT NOT have an earthquake soon on the New Madrid fault, here's to a shake-free (smoke too) Christmas and as good a new year as is in your cards to manage. As the "Original Talkin' Blues" says, "GO EASY, BUT GO GREASY!!

Skarpi min!

Gledileg jol og farsaelt komandi ar.

Because you're looking for words to Irish songs, it makes sense to drive over Borgafjordur way. As I told you, I left a pile of stuff taped to the door of the caravan parked just off the road on the banks of the Leira River when I was fishing in September. Have you checked this out yet?

To everyone else from Germany, Britain, Ireland, Canada, across the U.S. and over the Pacific to NZ and Australia, happy Christmas (if that's your holiday) and best wishes for a great 1999!

I retired in August and it's been great getting to know you all a bit since then.

All the best from the heart of New York City,
Dan Milner

Skarpi, yesterday I went to the Christmas Revels in Hanover NH, whose theme this year celebrated the music and traditions of Iceland, Finland, and other Northland countries. It was spectacularly beautiful and made me want to spend more time than I have in your country (21 years ago I spent 90 minutes in the airport in Reykjavik!) Best wishes for a safe and joyous Christmas- after today, the light will begin to return!
