From: Rasener It would be interesting to find out which Folk Clubs / sessions / singarounds are fortunate to be operating where the licencee / Village Hall / Church etc have managed to get their new licence. There is so much negative talk. Lets look positively at people who are moving forward. I have spoken with the village hall today where I run Market Rasen Folk Club, and was informed that the new licence had been granted. How many organisers know for definate that they are OK? |

16 Jun 05 - 06:46 PM (#1502562) Subject: RE: New licence - who has got them? From: Mr Happy There was an article in today's Telegraph about the new licences. They'll come into force from November. Story here:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/portal/main.jhtml?&_DARGS=/core/lowerHeaderBarFrag.jhtml BTW you have to log on to Telegraph to see story. But in brief, its about local councils interpreting govt guidelines in many diverse ways, causing much confusion & unfair practice. This legislation, like lots by this & previous govt's is a further example of consistent inconsistency!! |
